Faculty Workshop: Industrial Electrification

Calling all University of Toronto Faculty Researchers: Many of you have expressed interest in learning more about the Lawson Climate Institute, and perhaps getting involved in its activities. Now is your chance! We are excited to invite you to an informal workshop on Industrial Electrification.
Industrial Electrification is one of the funding priorities for LCI in AY2026-27, and will be the theme for the next round of grants this summer. Ideally, the workshop catalyzes new projects funded by the LCI’s Industrial Electrification stream. We are casting our net widely – welcoming anyone who works on issues related to Industrial Electrification. Faculty researching other climate topics are welcome to come and learn, but will not be eligible for these grants.
The aim of our short workshop is for faculty to get to know others working in this area, with an eye toward developing collaborative projects. The workshop is associated with the Lawson Climate Institute Industrial Electrification themed grant to raise awareness, encourage submissions, and explain the program and criteria – and we hope generate some ideas and collaborations that might not have been sparked otherwise.
NOTE: Please complete the RSVP even if you are NOT able to attend, but would like to learn more.
