Climate Positive Energy is partnering with Leading Change to develop multidisciplinary programs for CPE students. As part of this collaboration, CPE is pleased to offer a handful of exceptional sustainability students the opportunity to attend two of Canada’s Top Sustainability Events: Leading Change Summit & GLOBExCHANGE 2025.

  • The Leading Change Summit (Feb 10) – A dynamic gathering of 120+ young professionals and sustainability leaders, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and climate action
  • GLOBExCHANGE (Feb 11–13) – Canada’s premier sustainability conference, featuring global thought leaders, policy-makers, and change agents tackling climate challenges. Student tickets are valued at $700+.

How to Apply

Due to demand in this exciting opportunity and to ensure a fair selection process, CPE is accepting applications of interest from U of T students who are passionate about advancing their careers in climate change and sustainability.

Following the submission deadline, selected applicants will be contacted and invited to attend the events on behalf of Climate Positive Energy.

Integration of the Climate Positive Energy Initiative (CPE) into the Lawson Climate Institute (LCI) represents a strategic evolution that amplifies University of Toronto’s collective impact on climate solutions. CPE's established expertise in sustainable energy research and innovation becomes a cornerstone of the Lawson Climate Institute's comprehensive mandate to address the climate crisis through technology, policy, and education.

Existing and ongoing grants, research projects, partnerships, and other activity under Climate Positive Energy will continue uninterrupted and will transition to operate under the Lawson Climate Institute brand in the coming months.
